Talks by industry professionals; networking events; a party designed for fans of the sector, and exhibitions of games from Tucumán and the rest of Argentina are the stars of this new edition of Tucumán Hace Videojuegos 2024. This is a festival that will bring together developers, gamers, and the general public to promote the growth of an industry with a lot of potential. The activity with free access will take place between July 12 and 14.
Tucumán Hace Videojuegos 2024 will have several venues, including the Cultural Entity of Tucumán, the IDEP (Institute of Productive Development), the Economic Federation of Tucumán (FET) and the Casa Cultural Brotes, where the big party will take place. During the three days there will be an exhibition of Tucuman and national video games at Punto Digital (San Martín 251 street, San Miguel de Tucumán). On the Instagram account of the Tucuman Video Game Developers Community (@cdvt_oficial) they shared a map with the different locations of the festival.

The agenda day by day
Friday July 12
The day will begin at the IDEP Headquarters (Virgen de La Merced 141, first floor).
-11 hours: “Presentation of the Training in Artistic Design for Video Games (UNT)”. Organized by the Film School and with the speaker Barros Saga.
-12:30 p.m.: “Federal Look at the Video Game Sector” by the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and the Association of Video Game Developers of Argentina (ADVA).
-12 to 12.30 pm: “Tucumán in the Productive Belt” with the participation of Sebastian Buratto.
The exhibition of national video games will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Punto Digital.
On this same day, at the FET headquarters (San Martín 427 street) the following talks will be given:
-16 hours: “This is not a web 3 technical talk” Sofia Podesta.
-16.45: “Game feel: how to make your game feel good” by Mechanical Maze.
-17.30: “Training of trainers program” by Eduardo Miretti, Nicholas Crescenzi y Sebastian Buratto.
-18.45: “Tucumán Knowledge Economy Panel” by Sebastián Buratto, Pablo Peralta, Alejandro Paez y Maximilian Martinez Marquez.
Later, at the Ente de Cultura de Tucumán (Sala Orestes Caviglia, San Martín 251) the opening ceremony of Tucumán Hace Videojuegos will take place from 7 to 9 pm. Afterwards, in the Sala Lola Mora, also at the Ente de Cultura, the Godot Meetup will take place (starting at 9 pm).
Saturday July 13th
The Federal Congress of Game Studies is scheduled for this day at the Ente de Cultura (Hynes O’Connor Room).
-14.30 hours: Opening and “Presentation of the Network of Researchers in Game Studies” by Guadalupe of the Church.
-3:10 p.m.: “Playful Activism: Opening the Game” by AccionDev.
-16.10 hours: “Genres as a development tool” by Mishka De Caro.
-17.20 hours: “No more immersion. Thinking about emersive games” by More Grazziani.
-18.20: “Does Argentine video games exist?” by Nicolás Crescenzi.
An Open Assembly by the Network of Communities will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Cultural Entity, Hynes O’Connor Room.
Between 9pm and 2am, the Tucumán Hace Videojuegos party will be held at Casa Cultural Brotes (Santiago del Estero 179, San Miguel de Tucumán), where the Neuquén DJ Dub Club will be playing a pure steppa reggae dub dance set. In addition, DJ Fonts from Tucumán will be performing a video dance set of the electro house and synth pop music genres. Guests will be able to play Dobotone, a console for group games specially designed for parties. It is a proposal developed by Argentines that consists of a machine connected to a projector and four controllers with two buttons each. To attend the party, you must first purchase an advance ticket or, alternatively, the ticket at the door of the Brotes club.

-3:30 p.m.: “Videogamo, INC.: From Nave Arcade to Gol-E-Gol – How to make video games with dedicated hardware” by Videogamo.
-16.30 hours: “Beyond control” by Alejandro Iparraguirre.
-17.20 hours: “Optimization of the production of geodistributed equipment: tools and strategic communication” by Mariana Carril.
-18.10 hours: “Mentor Panel – My first professional video game” by the Video Game Developers Association of Argentina (ADVA)
In parallel, and from 3 to 9 pm, the exhibition of national video games will continue at Punto Digital.
