Winning breathlessly against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid met Dortmund in the final

Real Madrid came from behind to defeat Bayern Munich 2-1 at the Bernabeu in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals thanks to 2 goals in the last 3 minutes, thereby winning a ticket to the final against Dortmund.

Bayern Munich marched to Bernebeu Stadium early on the morning of May 9 (Vietnam time) with many concerns, as they were not in good form this season. In the Champions League semi-final first leg at Allianz Arena last week, Bayern Munich played impressively but they were held to an unfortunate 2-2 draw.

Rematching in Spain, Real Madrid is rated higher. Coach Ancelotti’s team quickly created an overwhelming position thanks to the mobility of Bellingham and Kroos in the middle of the field while the striker pair Rodrygo and Vinicius played quite aggressively.

The first chance came for Real Madrid in the 13th minute when Vinicius hit the post. In the following kickoff, Rodrygo could not win against Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer.

Both teams played closely in the following minutes so not many opportunities were created. In the 39th minute, Vinicius had a technical shot, but goalkeeper Neuer played cautiously.

In the second half, Vinicius continued to stir up Bayern Munich’s defense with breakthroughs on the left wing. However, Neuer continued to push away Rodrygo’s free kick, then a few minutes later the German goalkeeper blocked Vinicius’ shot towards the top corner.

Pressed on the field, however, Bayern Munich was sharp in counter-attacking. In the 68th minute, Kane made a long pass for Alphonso Davies to escape down the left wing. The Canadian star skillfully handled the ball before firing a powerful shot into the far corner to beat goalkeeper Lunin, opening the score 1-0 for Bayern Munich.

Alhponso Davies himself put the ball into his own net in the 73rd minute, but VAR technology denied Real Madrid a goal. Referee Marciniak determined that Nacho fouled the Bayern Munich player before finishing the shot.

With nothing left to lose, Real Madrid launched an all-out attack in the final 15 minutes of the match. Bayern Munich’s defense played resiliently, but they made an unfortunate mistake in the last minutes.

In the 88th minute, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer suddenly made a foul catch after Vinicius’ shot and Joselu was there in time to cushion the ball from close range, equalizing 1-1 for Real Madrid.

The loss caused Bayern Munich to collapse and Real Madrid to become even more excited. Minute 90+1, Antonio Rudiger appeared in the penalty area and the German midfielder stretched just enough for Joselu to complete the double, sealing a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.

Initially, the referee caught Real Madrid offside, but VAR technology checked again and determined the goal was valid. The decision to “break the whistle” caused referee Szymon Marciniak to be violently opposed by Bayern Munich players, but the final decision remained unchanged.
