After a first edition in 2022 dedicated to the cello, the Paris Philharmonic Music Museum and the Talents & Violon’celles endowment fund organized the second edition of the international violin making competition last week, this year dedicated to the violin.
The jury chaired by Raphaël Pidoux was made up of luthiers (Andréa Frandsen, Julie Reed-Yeboah and Silvio Levaggi) and musicians (Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Roland Dugareil and Tanja Becker-Bende).
70 violins from the “Talents of today” category and 8 violins from the “Talents of tomorrow” category took part in the competition. 4 violinists from the Orchester de Paris (Eiichi Chijiiwa, Gilles Henry, Pascale Meley, Nikola Nikolov) highlighted the potential of each instrument.
