One after the other, the wind farms planned in the mountains of Epirus are coming for environmental licensing.
During this period, the environmental impact studies for two large wind turbines of the company Energy Arvanikou EPE, which belongs to a Portuguese group, are under consultation.
The first EIA concerns a 64.8 MW wind farm in Kourendas of the Municipality of Zitsa, which also concerns areas of the Municipality of Dodoni.
The second concerns a wind farm with a total power of 108 MW, at the locations “GORGOMYLOS (72 MW)” and “PATIMA (36MW)”.
This project will extend to areas of Xirovouni and Anogei in the municipalities of Ziros and Arta.
The consultation will last until the end of May.
