US President Joe Biden will do what he knows about possible strikes on Iran in response to the attack on the American base in Jordan, but the US does not intend to get involved in the war.
Publika.az Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser of the American President, said this.
“The White House has repeatedly stated in the past that it does not seek war with Iran or any other armed conflict in the Middle East region. Biden also assured: the United States does not want a “large-scale war”, Sullivan said.
The United States has struck more than 85 targets belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and allied forces in Iraq and Syria as part of its response to the attack on its military base in Jordan. US targets were facilities of the IRGC and related groups.
Last week, the American soldiers at the base in Jordan were attacked by a drone. According to the Pentagon, 3 soldiers were killed and more than 40 soldiers were injured as a result of the attack. Washington blamed Iran, among others, for what happened.
