Will the government intervene in EPM?

Andrés Camacho Morales, Minister of Energy, through a video shared by the X platform, denied the accusations made by Federico Gutiérrez and assured that, on the contrary, the government would be working with the Antioquia company.

We want to highlight the total commitment that we have received from EPM to guarantee that the national energy system works optimally, that we have the energy that EPM has with all its companies to guarantee the country the supply it requires.

In this speech to social networks, the minister was accompanied by Jhon Maya Salazar, director of EPM, who also assured that they would be working hand in hand with the national government in the midst of the energy crisis.

The commitment that we have reached with the Minister and our team is that they have all our generation capacity so that we can overcome this phenomenon of children without having the need for rationing, this is EPM’s commitment.

Within this same situation, the Minister of Mines and Energy announced that, together with the work of EPM, They would have managed to lift the protests presented by the communities around Hidrohituango.

It should be noted that, on repeated occasions, Minister Andrés Camacho Morales has assured that the country will not reach energy rationing, since it is expected that it will begin to rain throughout the national territory.
