Estonia has trained over 1,300 Ukrainian soldiers since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022which corresponds to about a sixth of the Estonian Defense Forces (EDF) conscripts trained in the same period, Roland Murof, spokesman for the Estonian Ministry of Defense, said on Wednesday.
The training focused on “basic skills, artillery combat and cyberspace operations,” a representative of the Estonian Ministry of Defense explained.

As US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement, the latest package includes ammunition and components for air defense systems, as well as missiles for HIMARS systems, 155 and 105 mm artillery ammunition, anti-tank missiles and more than 15 million cartridges for firearms. In the list of transferred equipment, the Pentagon included, among others: NASAMS air defense system missiles and Stinger missiles, Javelin, AT-4 and TOW anti-tank systems.
