The date of a possible meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan will be announced as soon as an agreement is reached.
Publika.az Ani Badalyan, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, said this.
He emphasized that Yerevan supports all mediation efforts or negotiation platforms aimed at establishing a stable peace in the South Caucasus. These efforts are based on basic principles and agreed documents, including border delimitation and recognition processes that follow the provisions of the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration.
It should be recalled that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said that Kazakhstan offered to hold talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries on its territory, and Baku has already agreed to this.
President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev also said that Astana welcomes the desire of Yerevan and Baku to conclude a peace treaty. He also expressed his readiness to provide a platform for negotiations and to assume the role of a mediator in this process.
