Cardiovascular disease used to be common only in the elderly. However, now the same diagnosis of hypertension is given to people under 50 years of age, and it is recorded that this disease is increasing. They experience the same symptoms as older patients, and the young body reacts more sharply to increased pressure. For example, if the readings are 140/90 mmHg, it can cause serious pain such as severe headaches and migraines, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, weakness and fainting.
Publika.az reports that doctor Nadezhda Podkorytova said these words in an interview with “Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda”. He explained that this is due to several factors.
The most common reason for the early development of hypertension in young people is an unhealthy lifestyle. Young people smoke, drink too much alcohol and many are overweight.
“If the factors described above are absent and the person leads a healthy lifestyle, the cause may be severe or regular stress. Arterial hypertension, early heart attack and stroke, as well as other cardiovascular diseases often develop against the background of stress,” said the doctor.
According to the expert, hypertension, essential hypertension, arterial hypertension is a chronic disease in which blood pressure rises regularly.
“In this case, both systolic (upper reading) and diastolic pressure (lower reading) can be higher than normal values. With this pathology, the walls of blood vessels exert constant pressure from the inside, and it becomes difficult for the heart to “pump” blood. High blood pressure increases the risk of cardiovascular complications, which can lead to brain dysfunction, kidney and other vital organs development,” the expert explained.
