He attributed this to the fact that in autumn, activity traditionally decreases, hopelessness sets in, and even depression sets in, which reduces the desire for intimacy. With the onset of cold weather, the expert identified three factors that discourage both women and men from sexual intercourse.

Firstly, it is affected by seasonal lack of light. According to Sambursky, in autumn, the days are shorter, which does not affect the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates the biorhythm. Melatonin suppresses the production of serotonin, the hormone of happiness and pleasure. Serotonin, in turn, stimulates the production of testosterone, which is responsible for sexual desire. Thus, a chain relationship appears: less light, less testosterone and lower libido.

Second, the weakening of immunity prevents the increase of libido. The doctor noted that the number of colds traditionally begins to increase in autumn, which weakens the immune system and reduces energy. In addition to general discomfort, prescribed medications can have the effect of reducing libido. For example, antidepressants, antibiotics, contraceptives, etc.

thirdly, Stanislav Samburski advised not to neglect fatigue and stress. In the fall, people find themselves in a hectic work cycle after returning from a relaxed routine or vacation. Endless pressures at work are inevitable, and the period of stress also coincides with children going back to school.
