Palestinian woman Isra Jabs, who was released after eight years of Israeli imprisonment under the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, reached her home.
According to the report of the Turkish news agency TRT, the Wadi Halwa Information Center in Occupied Jerusalem has confirmed their return on Sunday.
The report added that the Israeli police imposed several restrictions before Isra, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison, was released. Celebrating his release was banned and all journalists were expelled from his home to prevent coverage of the initial moments of his release.
She was arrested on October 10, 2015 in Jabal al-Makabar, a town southeast of occupied Jerusalem, when she was carrying furniture to her home and the vehicle went out of control 500 meters from Al-Zim check post. went
According to Isra’s sister Mona, the Israeli soldiers shouted at Isra to stop the car, and her car rammed into the car next to it and suddenly burst into flames.
Mona said that the Israeli authorities claim that they tried to blow up their car at the checkpoint, but how could that happen when the car’s windows were intact.
“The color of the exterior of the vehicle did not change and if there had been an explosion, there would have been several pieces of ammunition along with it.”
Mona said what happened to the vehicle was a technical fault. ‘When the gas cylinder in his car burst and the car caught fire, 60% of his body including his face and hands were burnt.’
However, Israeli authorities accused her of wanting to carry out a ‘terrorist’ attack, which she denies.
According to Al Jazeera, Isra used to work in a nursing home. She spent time volunteering at charities and schools and dressed as a clown to entertain children at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in occupied East Jerusalem.
Admir, an organization working for the rights of Palestinian prisoners, says that a gas cylinder exploded in Isra’s vehicle due to a malfunction.
According to Admir: ‘When they got out of their burning car, an Israeli soldier approached them and shouted and pulled a gun on them and arrested them on the spot.’

Admir further said that the Israeli authorities did not inspect the vehicle after the incident.
Isra spent three months in Hadassah Ain Karim Hospital.
He was then transferred to the Ramallah Prison Hospital, which other prisoners call the ‘slaughterhouse’.
In 2017, the Central Court of Occupied Jerusalem sentenced him to 11 years in prison for attempted murder.
Admir reports: ‘They are unable to perform daily activities such as eating, using the bathroom, even changing their clothes.
‘Although Jobs’ condition required extensive medical and psychiatric care, the Israeli authorities completely ignored his immediate needs.’
Jobs required at least eight surgeries.
According to Al Jazeera, Jobs appeared in court last week to appeal his conviction. The appeal was adjourned till further notice.
Jobs told reporters during the hearing: ‘Is there any greater pain? The pain is palpable, and I can’t find a cure.’
He raised his hands and said, ‘I have no fingers, I have been here for two years. I see no justification for my being in prison.’
Jobs’ lawyer, Leah Simmel, told Al Jazeera: ‘He is not well, he is in great pain and distress. They are getting some vitamins, but there is no proper treatment and nothing is being done to improve their appearance.’
