Which is in Petrobangla’s 100 day plan – 2024-02-14 05:17:36

Petrobangla has formulated a 100-day action plan of the government with emphasis on domestic gas exploration. The government ordered to formulate a 100-day action plan after taking charge. Already the most important organizations of energy department have submitted 100 days action plan to energy department.

A copy of the plan has been obtained by the Bengali Tribune. In addition to gas, it has also been informed that decisions should be taken to extract coal.

digging a well

Petrobangla plans to contract with three multinational companies to drill gas wells within the next 100 days. These three companies are Sinopac, Gazprom and Ariel.

Petrobangla Chairman Janendra Nath Sarkar says in his plan, the government will drill 46 wells by 2025. These three companies have been selected to drill 17 wells.

BAPEX usually drills most of the wells in the country. But due to the emphasis of the government on domestic energy, more wells have to be dug simultaneously. It is not possible for Bapex alone to drill this well. For this, new wells are being dug with foreign contractors.

The government plans to drill a total of 48 wells by 2025. Four of these wells will be drilled at greater depth. That is deep drilling. Deep in the soil are hard rocks. What lies underground through these rocks is yet to be seen in the country. Experts believe that drilling these four new wells will reveal what lies in that layer.

Apart from drilling wells, they will look at annual well drilling, estimated gas recovery, feasibility survey of various projects and formulation of DPP.
