where to go to receive all the benefits intended for victims

After the catastrophe of the megafires in the Valparaíso Region, which devastated more than 43 thousand hectares and left 11 thousand homes destroyedthe Government has intervened with an aid process through the Basic Emergency File (FIBE).

The FIBE is a cadastre that is already being applied in the affected communes of Viña del Mar, Quilpué and Villa Alemana, so it is not necessary to go through an application process. The survey is carried out in person and by people authorized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family and municipalities.

Although the officials in charge will visit the affected areas as many times as necessary, if you have moved to another place for safety reasons, go to your municipality to request the application of the form.

How can those affected by the fires fill out the FIBE form and what benefits are available?

First of all, they must go to the corresponding municipality and request the FIBE Form in person. This procedure must be carried out by people over 18 years of age and is exclusively in person.

In the form they will request information related to the location of the home, composition of the family group, data related to special needs, and information and evaluation of the damage to the home.

Among the benefits that are available through the FIBE tab:

  • Recovery Bonus: financial aid provided by the State to all families in the Valparaíso Region affected by the fires.
  • Emergency Electronic Pocket: monetary contribution that is delivered to families affected by emergencies through a direct deposit in the CuentaRut of Banco Estado.
  • Welcome Bonus: allows you to rent a home temporarily or as a complement in case you are hosted in the homes of family and/or friends.
  • Delivery of emergency housing: temporary solution to the habitability problem of one or more people following a catastrophic event that disables their home.
