When the queen’s hall is small: Róisín Murphy moved to Karlín due to great interest

On March 17, the quirky artist, disco chameleon Róisín Murphy will return to Prague. Promotional agency Selection moved her concert from Archa Theater to Fora Karlín due to great interest. There, the Irish singer will present her sixth solo studio album, Hit Parade.

Róisín presents herself in an eccentric way, always shining on stage and exhibiting with masks and imaginative costumes. As she says, “I think it would break my heart if I could never stand on stage and sing again”.

Róisín embarked on a solo career in 2005 after an eight-year collaboration with Mark Brydon, with whom they formed the iconic electro duo Moloko. They released a total of four studio albums together with hits like “The Time Is Now” or “Sing It Back”.

With longtime collaborator and friend DJ Parrot, she released the single “Incapable” in 2019 and the single “Murphy’s Law” in March 2020. Róisín’s fifth album “RÓISÍN MACHINE”, released in 2020, was the culmination of their collaboration.

Róisín Murphy’s concert promises a great rush of her energy and an original pop charge. Due to great interest, the concert was moved from the originally announced venue Archa Theater to Fora Karlín. Tickets remain valid, according to the promoters from Selection, who this year will also bring legendary electronics Die Antwoord, or country rockers Dead South, who will perform with Ivan Mládek and his Banjo Band on June 4 in Prague’s Yellow Spa.
