In the same period, he was offered the film ‘Pathar Ke Phool’ by producer GP Sappi. GPSP’s name needed no introduction.

The producer of films like Anaz, Sita Geeta, Sholay, Shaan and Sagar, with whom every actor and actress would dream to work.

But this attraction did not mean anything to Raveena, rather Salman Khan’s name was very important in the offer she received.

This was the era when Salman became an overnight superstar after acting in ‘Maine Pyaar Kya’. No matter the age of the delicate gender, their heartbeat was none other than Salman Khan.

The girls were just as crazy about him. Everyone was eager to catch a glimpse of them. This was the reason why Raveena was so sleepy on Salman Khan’s offer to become a heroine.

She was curious as to how her friends would react when she told them, because they knew about every offer she had received before and they would have been angry that she had rejected every offer. Why do you refuse?

When she gave the good news of Salman becoming the heroine in Pathar Ke Phool to her friends, they more or less screamed. Everyone insisted that no matter what happened, the offer should not be rejected.

She was also happy that she was being introduced to films through a different production house than her father’s.

Now he came to know later that the film ‘Pathar Ke Phool’ was limited to the announcement as Salman Khan was not offered any film for 11 months after the release of ‘Maine Pyaar Kya’.

In such a situation, Salim Khan, Salman’s father, requested GP SP to announce a film about his son.

This will have the advantage that after seeing the name of GP Sipi, the eyes of other filmmakers and directors will fall on Salman Khan. Salman really benefited from this fake film.

He started getting films in droves. Now G.P. thought why not take advantage of this popularity and fame himself. That’s why they seriously prepared to make ‘stone flowers’ and then the selection of Raveena came into play.

When Raveena was busy shooting for ‘Pathar Ke Phool’, her friends would sometimes be on the set and take pictures with Salman.

Then in February 1991, when ‘Pathar Ke Phool’ was released, it took the cinemas by storm. It was Salman Khan’s second film after ‘Maine Pyaar Kya’.

Raveena received the Filmfare Award for ‘Face of the Year’ the following year for her exceptional performance in the film.

After this film, Raveena’s film journey started a happy period where she played all types of roles.
