She shared the secrets of how to improve body odor with food.
“When we eat, various micronutrients and amino acids enter the bloodstream and are excreted through sweat, fat and breath. Then, the skin and intestinal microbiome transform food residues into odorous molecules. These metabolic states create specific odors,” the expert explained.
According to him, not all foods affect body odor in the same way. Garlic and onion, despite their dark odors, can change the smell of not only your breath, but also your skin. To smell good, you need to balance your diet, reduce red meat intake, eat fish, add more vegetables and drink enough water.
According to the expert, citrus fruits, mint, rosemary, basil and green tea will give your body a light and pleasant aroma. To improve your sense of smell on a deeper level, include probiotics, omega-3-rich fish and leafy greens in your diet.
