ACV-30 is the third prototype of the amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) line after the ACV-P armored personnel carrier and the ACV-C command and control armored vehicle developed by BAE Systems since 2018.

This new variant is equipped with a 30mm remote-controlled turret system manufactured by Kongberg. This system is designed to optimize capacity compared to traditional turret, while also increasing lethality and protection for the crew and soldiers.
The ACV-30 has more space to transport soldiers, is equipped with essential equipment for combat, and has a lower weight. Reducing the vehicle’s weight is expected to enhance maneuverability, allowing US Marines to engage targets more effectively than with existing systems.
Mark Brinkman, Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle program manager at BAE Systems, stated that the ACV-30 will be the most powerful direct fire support vehicle for the Marine Corps’ ground combat force since its elimination. abandon the tank.
The ACV vehicle line is designed to meet the operational needs of the US Marine Corps, especially in improving amphibious capabilities at sea. The main weapon on the ACV is a remotely controlled weapon station (RWS) equipped with a Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher or an M2 12.7mm heavy machine gun.
