A person should not calculate the norm of drinking water, he should drink as much as he wants, paying attention to thirst.
Publika.az reports that this advice was given by nutritionist-endocrinologist Albina Komissarova.
According to him, there are no norms regarding the use of pure water, but there is an approximate amount of liquid that we get with tea or coffee, as well as from vegetables and fruits that we eat. The total daily volume is two liters on average, but many factors play an important role, such as being male and female, what type of physical activity they engage in, the effect of climate, how much salt is used in the diet.
“You need to drink based on the feeling of thirst, research shows that it is effective. You can also look at the color of urine. If it is dark yellow, you need to drink more,” the expert advised on the Telegram channel.
At the same time, the doctor refuted most of the exaggerated myths surrounding this topic.
Komissarova did not confirm that a glass of warm water in the morning starts the metabolism.
According to him, hydrogen or alkaline water also has no meaning. In addition, the doctor warned that lemon water is just lemon water and it is useless to expect miraculous effects from it.
