Frustrated by the 3-year prison sentence for violating road traffic regulations, Tuan went from Hue to Cam Lo and used a weapon to seriously injure the Deputy Chief Justice of the District People’s Court.
Regarding the Deputy Chief Judge of Cam Lo District People’s Court (Quang Tri) being stabbed and seriously injured, the authorities were able to control the suspect and take him to the headquarters. The suspect’s identity was determined to be Tran Van Tuan (born 1973, residing in Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province).
Tuan is the defendant in the case of violating regulations on participating in road traffic and was tried by the Cam Lo District People’s Court in first instance on December 19, 2023 and the presiding judge is Mr. Nguyen Van Quy – Deputy Chief Judge of the District People’s Court. Cam Lo. At the first instance trial, Tuan was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
Disagreeing with the first instance court, Tran Van Tuan appealed. On March 26, the People’s Court of Quang Tri province held an appeal hearing, did not accept defendant Tran Van Tuan’s appeal, and maintained the first instance verdict. After that, the Cam Lo District People’s Court entrusted the Hue City People’s Court to execute the sentence against Tran Van Tuan.
Frustrated because he wanted to receive a suspended sentence but the sentence remained the same, on May 2, Tran Van Tuan went from Hue to the Cam Lo District People’s Court and asked to meet Mr. Nguyen Van Quy. Here, Tran Van Tuan used a weapon to seriously injure Mr. Quy. After committing the crime, Tran Van Tuan was controlled and taken to Cam Lo District Police headquarters to work and take testimony.
Regarding Mr. Nguyen Van Quy’s health, responding to VTC News reporter, Cam Lo district leader said that after being stabbed, Mr. Quy was taken to the emergency room at Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital with many regional injuries. abdomen, hips, shoulder blades. After surgery, Mr. Quy’s health is stable and is currently being treated at the General Surgery Department of Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital.
Previously, on the morning of June 11, 2023, Tran Van Tuan drove a tractor-trailer car from Duoi bridge to National Highway 9. When arriving at Km 9 + 567, National Highway 9 bypassed North Dong Ha, passing through Quarter 4. , (Cam Lo town, Cam Lo district) collided with motorcycle BKS 74F2-02XX traveling in the same direction.
The accident caused Ms. NTL (residing in Bich Giang village, Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district) to die on the spot. After causing the accident, Tuan did not stop but moved away from the scene. Discovering the incident, people chased them until Km 13+200 National Highway 9 headed to Lao Bao Border Gate (Huong Hoa district) before Tuan stopped.
