The Attorney General’s Office reported that it will file charges against Ever Ricardo Flórez Ortega, who in June 2023, threatened the journalist and director of Semana Vicky Dávila through the social network “X”, formerly Twitter. The investigative entity found that the accused “reacted to a publication made by the communicator. In his comment he would have suggested actions against the life and integrity of the professional, which generated anxiety and fear,” says a section of the statement.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, within the investigation it was determined that the intimidating message was from an account called @EverRicardoFlo1 that “resides in the rural area of Cereté, Córdoba.”
“Due to these events, a prosecutor from the Threat Group of the Special Directorate against Human Rights Violations charged him with the crime of threats. The charge was not accepted,” the statement concludes.
