On the night of the disaster, a part of the house collapsed in the city of Kolkata. The incident took place in the garden area of ​​BB No. 10. It was initially reported that one person died after a part of the house collapsed.

From Sunday evening, reports of trees falling in different parts of the city started coming in. When the storm started blowing, 48-year-old Mohammad Sajid, a resident of Bibi Bagan area of ​​Kolkata, was going to call his son. At that time it started raining and he stood under a dangerous house. Then a part of the house collapsed on him. The person was seriously injured in the accident. He was quickly rescued and taken to Neel Ratan Government Hospital. But by then it was too late. The doctor declared the man brought dead when he was taken to the hospital.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, heavy rain and strong wind caused a tree to fall at an old lady’s house in Namkhana’s Mousumi Island. An 80-year-old woman named Renuka Mondal died after the house collapsed.

Apart from this, a part of a banyan tree has also broken on Alipur Road due to the storm. It was windy in the city. Just then a part of the banyan tree fell on the road. Due to which the Alipore Road was practically closed. On receiving the news, Kolkata Purnigam workers reached the spot. Purnigam workers are carrying out the work of cutting trees and moving them from the road.

Metro services also disrupted due to Cyclone Rimal. Services disrupted due to water logging on metro tracks. Metro service disrupted due to waterlogging between Park Street and Esplanade. However, Metro runs from Dakshineshwar to Girish Park and from Kabi Subhash to Taliganj Mahanayak Uttar Kumar station.
