Things are not going well in love for Sylvie Meis (45). She has separated from Wim Beelen (47), as she has now confirmed to the newspaper “Bild”. “It’s a shame, but we’re not good together.”
For the entrepreneur and mother of one son, this is the second separation within a year. Only in February 2023 did Meis announce the end of her marriage to Niclas Castello (45 years old), which lasted three years.
After former football star Rafael van der Vaart (40) – to whom she was married from 2005 to 2013 – this is the second divorce for the Dutchwoman.
And Wim Beelen doesn’t seem to be the right person as a presenter either, as it has now turned out. The end of love, however, comes as a surprise to fans: the two still flirted in Instagram photos during the holidays and the couple celebrated the change of the year in Dubai. The shared photos have already disappeared from Meis’ profile.
Too different lifestyles
According to Bild, it was Beelen who ended the relationship. The Dutch newspaper “Telegraaf” reports that the entrepreneur explained the reason for the separation in a post on social media: the two had too different lifestyles. While Sylvie enjoys being in public, Beelen prefers a quiet, luxurious life away from the hustle and bustle.
“I have therefore decided that our paths as a couple will not continue and that each of us will go our own way,” Beelen explained to the online portal “RTL Boulevard”.
The separation is still fresh. They both want to try to remain friends. Beelen thanked Meis for the wonderful time; he really appreciated her for the “really super nice, sweet, incredibly smart woman” that she was. But their ideas about life are simply too different.

It all started last summer, when Meis and Beelen met in Amsterdam. From that moment on the two were inseparable.
In September Meis took his new treasure with him to the wedding of his dear friend Dr. Emi Arpa in Mallorca. The couple made their first public appearance at a red carpet event in October. In the same month, the businesswoman officially announced her relationship on Instagram.
