Meteorologists warned of high temperatures for this afternoon already on Saturday. They have now expanded the area covered by the warning. People should expect heat with temperatures above 31 degrees in Prague, most of Central Bohemia and the Ústí Region, also in parts of the Pilsen Region and Eastern Bohemia, and then in the strip in the east of the republic – from South Moravia to the Moravian-Silesian Region. Moravia and Silesia will also have high temperatures on Monday.

In the evening, strong storms may arrive in the west of Bohemia, which will progress slowly, so it may rain up to 30 millimeters. Hail up to two centimeters and stronger wind gusts can occur less often.

“On Monday, we expect numerous occurrences of thunderstorms in connection with the passage of the undulating cold front. Storms will be locally strong, accompanied mainly by torrential rain with short-term totals of around 40 millimeters, in repeated storms even higher. Smaller hailstones and stronger wind gusts may also occur in thunderstorms,” ​​meteorologists said. In Bohemia, there will be strong storms in the morning, in Moravia and Silesia there is a threat of thunderstorms only in the afternoon and evening. They will stop during the night on Tuesday.
