The National Meteorological Service issued yellow and orange alerts for 11 provinces, including Tucumán, due to heavy rains, estimating accumulated precipitation between 20 and 50 millimeters.
The areas that are under yellow alert for storms are all of Tucumán, also Jujuy, Salta, Córdoba, Mendoza, Neuquén, La Pampa, Buenos Aires, San Luis, San Juan and La Rioja. In these last three the warning turns orange. This means that “dangerous meteorological phenomena for society, life, property and the environment are expected,” according to the national organization.
“The area will be affected by isolated storms, some locally strong. They may be accompanied mainly by abundant falls of water in short periods, occasional hail, strong electrical activity and strong gusts,” details the daily report of the National Meteorological Service.

In addition, the report adds that accumulated precipitation values between 20 and 50 mm are expected, which may be exceeded from time to time.
