‘We must calm down’, asks Sheinbaum before investigation against Arturo Zaldívar

“We have to calm down,” said the presidential candidate of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, Claudia Sheinbaum, before the investigation by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) into former collaborators of Arturo Zaldívar, a member of the presidential flag bearer’s team.

He pointed out that investigations do not help Mexico if the objective is to move forward together.

Sheinbaum assured that the investigation has a political objective, but asked for calm in the face of this action, since they are ahead in the polls.

“It is evident that it is an investigation that has a political objective because the investigation comes from an anonymous complaintTell me, in the history of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, when had they initiated investigations based on an anonymous complaint in 24 hours?

I think we all have to calm down, we are ahead in the polls, we are going to win on June 2 and we are going to have a good government, we are going to move our country forward, So generating these investigations does not help Mexico. If the objective is to move forward together, what is the sense of generating these investigations that have a political basis and of using an institution like the Supreme Court of Justice for the Nation for this objective?

He added: “As I would say, my dear Solín: calmness, patience. As long as it is not proven that someone has a problem with justice…or is it not the support of our legal system? Or are the media already going to sanction a person and now they became judges? No! That’s why I say you have to calm down, calm down, nothing happens.

In that sense, the Former president criticized that a judge determined Jesús Murillo Karam to be under house arrestauthor of the so-called historical truth, and assured that the federal president Andrés Manuel López Obrador will give results in the investigation of the 43 normalistas of Ayotzinapa.

In a press conference, the standard bearer of Morena, the Labor Party and the Green Party indicated that if they remain pending, they will resolve them, this after a judge determined that Jesús Murillo Karam, author of the so-called historical truth, would be placed under house arrest.

“It is another of the cases where a judge determines, over and above what the Prosecutor’s Office had proposed, which was house arrest. I am convinced that the President, because he has said it, he is going to give results on the investigation of the 43 of Ayotzinapa and if in any case there is something pending, we are going to continue it,” assured Sheinbaum.

It should be noted that on September 26, 2014, a group of students from the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School were victims of forced disappearance.
