Meanwhile, two other factions that previously had plans to participate in rolling out the right to inquiry have not yet spoken, including the United Development Party (PPP) faction and the NasDem Party faction.
Spokesperson for Acting Chairman of PPP Muhamad Mardiono, Imam Priyono, said that PPP is currently still focused on recapitulating votes in the Legislative Election (Pileg) considering that PPP’s position is still fluctuating at the parliamentary threshold of 4%.
However, the leadership of the PPP DPP continues to intensely consider the views of the PPP assembly, including the honorary assembly and the consideration panel regarding the right to inquiry.
“Of course, up to now we have been very focused on overseeing the vote recapitulation because as we know, PPP’s position is still fluctuating at the parliamentary threshold of 4%,” said Imam, Thursday (7/3/2024).
According to him, the PPP leadership continues to communicate intensively every day and consider input from the PPP Council as a forum for senior PPP scholars and politicians, such as the views of the Chairman of the PPP Honorary Council, KH Zarkasih Nur, who asked the PPP to be wise in looking at the right to inquiry, especially highlighting the potential for division among the Ummah.
“However, on the other hand, the view of the Chairman of the PPP Advisory Council, Romahurmuziy, is that the right to inquiry still needs to be rolled out to investigate allegations of election fraud. We continue to review these opinions carefully,” he said.
Imam added that the latest KPU Sirekap results show that PPP is still included in the 9 political parties (political parties) that have passed the parliamentary threshold, but of course accurate results will be obtained on March 20 2024 when the KPU determines the legislative election vote tally.
