“We don’t have the infrastructure to accommodate them”

Since the beginning of the year, one tenth of the migrants who reached Greece have landed on the coast of Crete and on the island of Gavdos, the southernmost Greek territory. More specifically, until February 11, out of a total of 5,032 people who entered the country, 577 people disembarked on the two Greek islands, when in Gavdos the permanent population does not exceed 120 inhabitants.
