He said that for the current fiscal year (2023-24), the revenue collection target from the Internal Revenue Department (part of the National Board of Revenue) has been set at Tk 430,000 crore and for stamp duty (Inland Revenue Department’s own target) at Tk 13,617.57 crore. . The total revenue target of the internal resources department has been set at four lakh 43 thousand 617.57 crores. 87.70 percent of the revenue collection target has been achieved till December 2023 for the financial year 2023-24.
Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali said that in the six months of the current fiscal year (July-December), the amount of tax revenue collection (National Board of Revenue part) is 1 lakh 65 thousand 629.75 crores and 1 thousand 626 crores of stamp duty has been collected.
