Washington’s support for the Israeli entity in its aggression on Gaza is a war crime – Al-Baath Media

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea stressed that the US unilateral policy and reckless military support policy for the Israeli entity in its aggression on the Gaza Strip constitute heinous war crimes causing the massacre of innocent Palestinians.

“Only the U.S. should be brought to the International Criminal Court and expelled from the UN Human Rights Council,” the KCNA news agency quoted a spokesman for the Korean Jurists Committee as saying in a statement today, stressing that putting an end to the double standards of the U.S., which is indulging in its tyrannical and arbitrary practices around the world, is the prerequisite for establishing a just and fair international order.

The statement explained that the number of innocent civilian victims is increasing as Israel has recently gradually escalated its reckless military assault on the Gaza Strip, yet the United States has become obsessed with providing military support to Israel away from efforts to resolve the situation, while continuing to collude in and enhance Israel’s killing of civilians.”

The statement pointed out that the United States strongly incited the attack on the Gaza Strip, while increasing the degree of military support (for Israel), by sending two aircraft carriers, two strike groups, an amphibious assault ship, fighters and many other military equipment to the region, stressing that despite its talk about preventing the escalation of the situation, its real intention is to support the reckless Israeli military attack on the Gaza Strip.

The statement criticized the United States’ use of veto power in a UN Security Council meeting on the 18th of last month, and also thwarted the adoption of a resolution in a UN Security Council meeting on the 26th of last month calling for a temporary truce rather than an immediate ceasefire, which clearly proves its lack of interest in protecting civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the Gaza Strip for the twenty-ninth day, committing horrific crimes every day by targeting hospitals, schools, shelters, United Nations headquarters, media crews and ambulances.
