Seconds before going live from the White House, reporter Kellie Meyer was attacked by… a bird.
The journalist is facing the event calmly and after the initial surprise continues her work normally, according to information from the New York Post.
Watch the video:
The NewsNation reporter was about to go live to report from the White House when a pigeon flew in and landed on her head. She was initially startled and ducked, shouting, “Oh my God, it landed on me,” as the pigeon flew away.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” she then told the show’s hosts in an attempt to regain her composure from the unexpected incident.
She shared the incredible scene on her X account, saying, “Guys, I know there was a lot of news today, but a bird landed on my head at the White House right before I went live on NewsNation. He really wanted to appear in public. Our catering room recorded the video for your enjoyment of course.’
Many, however, were quick to congratulate her for her composure, while there were also several who suggested that she take advantage of this unexpected luck by buying a lottery ticket, as it is believed that when a pigeon lands on a person, this is something that brings good luck.
