China and India on Wednesday announced the resumption of direct flights between the two countries. The progress came at the end of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to India, which is seen as a link to diplomatic achievements between the two countries.

Modi will visit China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit later this month, which will be his first visit since 2018.
Wang Yi will now leave for Pakistan from New Delhi, India’s long -standing rival and a close ally of China in the region.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang will stay in Pakistan till Friday and in the meantime he will attend the sixth China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers Strategic Dialogue.
