Voula Kehagia unleashed fire against the government, stressing that the ND is collapsing at all levels, primarily in terms of credibility.

– Mrs. Kehagia, the European elections are quite close. And the parties will be asked to compete both with each other and with the percentages they received in the recent past. What percentage will be a success for SYRIZA PS and what will be a failure?

In SYRIZA-PS we seek the best possible election result, Mr. Diamantopoule. The European Parliament elections are the first electoral contest after the shock of the national elections of 2023 and we are now confident that left-wing and progressive citizens will trust us, recognizing that we have a credible program and proposals to improve their daily lives. The aim is to maintain second place with such a percentage that will allow us a dynamic restart for the national elections, whenever they take place. And certainly to maintain the first place among the parties of the progressive opposition. We will make it.

–Tempe, Accuracy, Security, Rule of Law, Public Health. What are the issues that will decide the European elections?

I personally do not see any success in the political plan of the second government of the New Republic. The opposition is not “mush” either because it has low – in relation to the ruling party – electoral percentages. This was also demonstrated during the recent debate on the motion of no confidence against the Mitsotakis government.

The government is collapsing at all levels. And primarily at the level of reliability. When Maximou denounces financial interests that she avoids even naming and at the same time enjoys drinks with the same interests that she denounces as eccentric, it shows her true face and her cynicism.

The truth about Tempi will be revealed in all its dimensions. Justice will come, justice will be served. SYRIZA-PS will not stop seeking the attribution of responsibilities against the hoaxes, the state montages, and the rabid attempt to cover up the facts.

The government confirmed its hypocrisy by rejecting the proposal of SYRIZA-PS to set up a preliminary investigation committee if only the prime minister commits that the ND will also agree to the activation of article 86 on the responsibility of ministers so that Mr. Karamanlis and any involved politicians can be brought to justice in ordinary justice on the basis of the indictment of the relatives of the victims.

All these issues together will determine the vote of the citizens. The Greek society in opinion polls appears skeptical (88%) regarding the real intentions of the Mitsotakis government to render justice for the crime of Tempe.
