What is Quick Count?
It is a statistical inference procedure with which, through the results of a random sample of polling stations, a forecast of the voting trends of an election is made and disseminated on the night of election day. The statistical methods for making estimates and the procedure for selecting the random sample of cells are defined in advance and approved by the General Council.
How does vote counting work?
After the vote is executed and the polls are closed, a vote count begins, a sample is taken, the data obtained is recorded in the system and estimates are made until a defined trend is obtained, which is then transmitted to the population.
