He loves his loved ones, tennis and… tattoos! Markéta Vondroušová (25) is famous for her passion for wild marigolds on her body. As she exclusively revealed to Bleska, since last year’s triumph at Wimbledon, she has added six new girls.
Long lines across the arms and chest. Flowers, stars, inscriptions in English. Angel, girl with samurai sword, hands joined with little fingers. Butterflies or little hearts fly around it all. For many, it’s a bit of a wilderness, every dog is a different village… “Of course, at the beginning, everyone dealt with it, but it seems to me that people have somehow gotten used to it,” cooed the Czech star, who roared out of the most famous tournament this year right after the first match.
Last year’s sensational ride through Wimbledon was, among other things, another inspiration for the pictures. In honor of the triumph, she only had two inconspicuous tattoos done – the letter W on the inside of her left hand and the number 150723, the date of the final victory, on her right shoulder.
LOVE “Just love. I went to them right after Wimblas.’
“I have one tattoo in common with my sister, the other with my coach,” she pointed out about the bet with coach Hernych, laughing at the idea that she should have had the Wimbledon logo done all over her back. “That’s okay. I don’t need to draw attention to my win in any extreme way, I think that enough people know it anyway. For me, it was really only symbolic,” she revealed.
This year, however, she came to Wimbledon richer with six new tattoos! In addition to the mentioned two, in honor of the triumph, the English inscription sweet (sweet) was added on the right hand, then three hearts on the left hand and a strange formation on the arm. “It’s a disco ball,” laughed Maky. And as a bonus the inscription love on the neck. “But that’s just a small inscription, I’m seriously not planning to get my head tattooed,” she smirked.
Most of their jokes don’t have a deeper meaning, he just slaps them on his body. “I don’t really plan in advance what I will wear and where. Rather, I say to myself that I want to fill that empty space with something and go from there,” she laughed.
This year’s wretched year will probably hardly be remembered by any kind of paint on the skin…
