However, they also do not get the full freedom that self-employed people enjoy, such as building a customer bank, pricing freedom, and more. Since August 2020, a class action lawsuit has been filed against the company for the recognition of employment relations with its employees at the National Labor Court.

Kfir Suissa, mayor of Kiryat Gat: “I welcome the entry of any new company into Kiryat Gat, and certainly an international company of the size of Wolt.” Wolt’s entry into Kiryat Gat and the area will bring more welcome economic traffic to restaurants and businesses in the city and make their wares accessible to the same high standard as in other places in Israel and the world. I am sure that the business owners in the city and the families in Kiryat Gat and the surrounding area will benefit from this move.”
