Vlhová flew home from the hospital: Problems when performing and a surprise from her father!

Finally home. Petra Vlhová (28) probably said something like that to herself on Thursday, February 15, after her private jet landed in Slovakia. The famous skier returned from the Swiss hospital where she underwent surgery. But the return was not without complications. What exactly was it about?

With her great performances, she could have easily thought of the overall first place in the World Cup this year, but a hard fall last month unexpectedly changed her plans. Petra Vlhová, an elite Slovak skier, subsequently had to be treated at the Swiss clinic in Sion. The operation was successful.

“I’m a little tired, but otherwise I feel good,” said Vlhová from her hospital bed at the beginning of February to her Instagram followers. Subsequently, her beloved partner Michal Kyselica also flew to see her, who became a great psychological support for the successful athlete. But now the golden Olympian is back in her homeland! On Thursday, a private jet took her to the airport in Poprad together with her boyfriend and physiotherapists. But not everything went perfectly.

According to the Slovak website Šport24, Vlhová had problems getting off the plane. It took a while for the 31-time SP winner to get down the stairs with the help of her crutch. But this was the only minor complication in her return.

On the contrary, she was certainly a great boost the presence of Igor Vlha, Petra Vlhová’s father. He was waiting for his daughter not only with a van as a pick-up, but also with a surprise in the form of a proper bouquet. So let’s hope that at the beginning of the next year, Vlhová will be ready to go down the slopes again.
