The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research is a recently created academic space, but with a history of 14 years.
The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (CEII) of the UA de C Unidad Torreón, announced yesterday the virtual postgraduate degrees of Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Research with Orientation in Social Studies (DOII) and Doctorate in Sciences (DOCI).
Currently, the call for admission to the DOII is open in August of this year and the objective is to train high-level researchers, with an interdisciplinary perspective, critical capacity and coordination of research teams, who contribute to the generation of original knowledge from of the analysis of social problems and basic and applied empirical research proposals. The DOII is coordinated by Dr. Fernando Bruno.
In September of the current year, registration will also open for the DOCI, which will begin in January 2025. The latter seeks to train doctors in sciences who are part of the teaching staff of the UA de C and who develop scientific research activities, technology and innovation in some of the areas of disciplinary knowledge, which contribute to the solution of social, economic and environmental problems, and which promote local, regional and national development.
The DOCI is coordinated by Dr. Nathiely Ramírez Guzmán.
Josefina Rodríguez González, director of the CEII, said that the postgraduate courses have been widely accepted in such a way that national and international students have enrolled, in addition to the fact that the doctors who provide the advice are of high level.
He indicated that offering quality virtual postgraduate courses is a commitment that the Autonomous University of Coahuila has with the community, in order to strengthen the training of researchers and teachers.
