An explosion occurred in a house in the southeastern state of Virginia, USA. One firefighter was killed and at least 11 others were injured. Local authorities confirmed that the explosion occurred on Friday evening (February 16) local time.

Nine firefighters and two civilians were taken to nearby hospitals, James Williams said. He said that the injuries of some are minor but the condition of several others is serious.
