The Govt Justice of the Peace and Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Imam Razi Tulu has sentenced a trainer to three days imprisonment for allegedly looking to pressure electorate to vote and brazenly campaigning in Gosinga Prime College Heart of Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur.
Convicted Kamrul Hasan Khan (44) is son of Faizuddin of Gosinga village. He’s an assistant trainer of Rajendrapur Prime College in Upazila.
Mozammel Haque Sheikh, Presiding Officer of Gosinga Prime College Centre, stated that he was once given this punishment because of common loitering and violation of code of behavior.
Sripur Upazila Govt Officer (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officer Shobhan Rangsa stated that the overall collection of electorate in Sripur Upazila is 3 lakh 96 thousand 896 other folks. Amongst them, 1 lakh 97 thousand 716 male electorate, 1 lakh 99 thousand 174 feminine electorate and six 3rd gender (transgender) electorate. The overall polling stations are 148 and the collection of polling cubicles is 984.
Sreepur Upazila Election Officer Abdullah Al Noman stated that on this upazila 3 chairman applicants, 9 vp and 7 girls vp are contesting.
