Vinícius Junior suffers new racist insults in Spain

Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinícius Junior once again received racist insults when he arrived with his team by bus on Thursday before the match against Getafe, at the Coliseum stadium in Madrid.

Last year, Vinícius, who leads a campaign against racism in football, was the victim of this type of attack, which generated a great media stir and even caused repudiation in Brazil.

The Government headed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva then urged the international authorities of this sport, such as FIFA, to take measures to “prevent racism from taking over football.”

The Vinícius case led the state of Paraíba, in northeastern Brazil, to enact the ‘Vini Jr.’ law, which combats racism at sporting events.
