Vina Cirebon case, former attorney believes there were no irregularities in the investigation

JAKARTA – The investigation and investigation process into the murder case of Vina Dewi Arsita or Virebon wines and his girlfriend, Muhammad Risky Rudiana alias Eky since 2016, are considered good.

This assessment was made by the former attorney for Vina and Eky 2016, Yosi Achdian, in the People’s Voice program entitled Don’t Cover It Up, Open the Vina Cirebon Case Transparently, on iNews TV quoted on Wednesday (5/6/2024).

“There are no (irregularities) bro, I see that the work of the investigating police is good. Because this is a murder case,” said Yosi.

According to him, it is difficult for the police to play and manipulate the investigation and investigation process. Moreover, said Yosi, case files and all evidence must go through the P21 stage by the prosecutor’s office before being handed over to court.

“If, for example, the police are playing, they will go through the prosecutor’s step, right? P21. If, for example, there is no evidence that is not strong, it will definitely be rejected,” he said.

On the other hand, Yosi assessed that the perpetrators had also received the same sentence, namely life imprisonment. On that basis, he assessed that there were no irregularities in the investigation process in the murder case of Vina and Eky.

“I didn’t see that, the criminal procedural legal process was going well as far as I could see at that time,” explained Yosi.

“Because I made a legal opinion, I made a request for reconstruction,” he said.
