Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov exercised his right to vote in Khankendi.

Publika.az Referring to Trend, the minister voted in the extraordinary presidential elections in the 16th precinct of the 122nd Khankendi electoral district.

It should be noted that presidential elections are being held in Azerbaijan today. The candidacy of 7 people was registered in the presidential elections. 5 of them were nominated by political parties, and 2 were nominated by their own initiative. On January 9, the registration of presidential candidacy was completed.

There are names of 6 million 478 thousand 623 voters in the voter lists. They will vote in 6537 polling stations across the country.

So far, 90,372 observers have registered to monitor the elections. 790 of them are observers representing 72 international organizations. These observers are from 89 countries.

The elections cover the entire territory of Azerbaijan, including the territories freed from occupation. 26 polling stations were established in the territories freed from occupation.

49 polling stations were established in embassies and consulates in 37 countries for Azerbaijani citizens abroad. More than 23,000 voters will exercise their right to vote in those polling stations.

190 international media organizations participate in the elections. 216 of their representatives were registered as international observers.

On the day of voting, a portable box will be delivered to the voters whose names are on the voter list, but who are unable to come to the polling stations, as required by the Election Code.
