On April 30, tennis player Le Duc Phat officially qualified for the Paris Olympics. Thus, Vietnamese badminton will have 2 athletes participating in the biggest sports festival on the planet, including Nguyen Thuy Linh (women’s singles) and Le Duc Phat (men’s singles).
Badminton is a strong sport in Southeast Asia. At the end of the qualifying round, Vietnam won the same number of Olympic spots as Singapore (2 spots) and far behind other sports in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia (8 spots), Thailand (9 spots), and Indonesia (9 spots). ).
