On March 4, the General Department of Customs said that Vietnam’s exports in February 2024 are estimated to reach 24.82 billion USD, down 28.1% compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, imports are estimated at 23.72 billion USD, down 23.2% over the previous month.

Cumulatively in the first 2 months of 2024, exports are estimated to reach 59.34 billion USD, up 19.2% over the same period last year, imports are estimated at 54.62 billion USD, up 18.0% over the same period last year.
Total import and export in the first 2 months of 2024 is estimated at 113.96 billion USD, up 18.6% over the same period last year, the trade balance is estimated at a trade surplus of 4.72 billion USD.
State budget revenue from import and export activities reached 25,118 billion VND, accumulated from the beginning of the year reached 56,420 billion VND.
In February 2024, Customs discovered, arrested and handled 1,222 cases of law violation, with an estimated value of infringing goods of 1,671.7 billion VND; Transferred to another agency to recommend prosecution of 8 cases.
