VIDEO. They catch accidents for not respecting traffic signs

The Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Antigua Guatemala released a video showing a series of traffic accidents, caused by the recklessness of some drivers who did not respect traffic signs in the colonial city.

“Respecting the signs when driving can save you from recklessness,” states the publication made on the PMT institutional page, where it is also warned that the images are strong and may affect the sensitivity of some people.

The first accident occurred between a motorcycle taxi and a motorcycle for not respecting traffic signs.

In that case, one of the drivers did not respect the red light of a traffic light, according to the Antigüeña PMT.

The entity explained that the scenes are intended to raise awareness about the importance of respecting road regulations.

Likewise, they highlighted the danger of committing an irresponsible act, so they asked to be attentive while driving.

Importance of signs

The authorities used the video to call for reflection regarding the importance of traffic signs.

Likewise, they asked to consider the risks that a road accident entails, because it can cause serious injuries and even death.
