Nour Belkhiria has had some very challenging scenes to play in the last few episodesIndefensible. Her character has been held captive in a gloomy basement and it’s the first time in her young career that the actress has a score like that to defend.

Inès Saïd made the mistake of sleeping with her former client Mylène Kirouac (Rebecca Vachon), who suffers from erotomania, the delusional delusion of being loved by someone. Mylène had crossed the line with singer Louna Rose (Roxane Bruneau) and all her obsession had then transferred to her lawyer. When Inès told her that there would be no continuation of their brief love story, Mylène lost patience and seized Inès from her in the hope of making her feel right…

Luckily, in Monday’s episode, the rookie criminal from the law firm Lapointe, MacDonald & Desjardins managed to escape after knocking out her captor, which made us breathe a sigh of relief and satisfaction.

Traumatized

Inès, who, let’s face it, had an effervescent start to her career. She will probably never be the same again after this painful experience. The character will return in the Tuesday, January 23 episode after a necessary break.

“It wouldn’t have been normal for Inès to return to the office the next morning,” suggested the actress. He’s going to take some time to get over this. It will not be easy. Could Inès have freed herself by confronting her captor first? “I was wondering, but when you’re held hostage you don’t know what to expect. What is Mylène capable of, she still managed to get Inès there. I think we need to think of a strategy to convince Mylène rather than being impulsive, because you don’t know what’s up there. She might even kill her. Mylène is unpredictable. But hey, Inès still beats him before running away.

Resilience

Inès will have to demonstrate great resilience. “This will impact his confidence and his ability to take on cases. The road will be bumpy. Luckily he will be able to count on the help of his colleagues.”

Inès will also have to “face a change” in the company with the arrival of Me Kim Nolin (Julie Trépanier).

“I finished the day and my voice was no longer there from shouting so much. It was a good thing, because we made sure that there was a sort of crescendo so that I really understood what was at stake with Inès. I think being in the same room all day has benefited my acting,” said the actress, who will soon go to Paris to see if her career can take root there in parallel with her plans in Quebec.

Additionally, Nour Belkhiria reacted to the sudden death of Me Richard Dubé, creator and co-author ofIndefensiblespeaking of “an immense loss within the team”.

“None of this would exist without him. He was the idea and creator of the series. He was the one who imagined Inès, so I owe him a lot. Richard was there almost every time we filmed a trial. He coached and supported us with his partner and co-author Izabel Chevrier.”
