The Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, warned Monday about a plan prepared by the Venezuelan opposition to sabotage the elections of next Sunday through attacks with explosives aimed at embassies accredited in Venezuela, police commands, hospitals and personalities of the political sphere.
“We received the information of explosive attacks,” said the Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace.
«The superior objective is to sabotage the May 25 elections, this Sunday. We fulfill the duty to alert with enough time, not only to the population but to these groups about the forceful response they will receive from the security agencies, ”he said.
He said that members of extremist sectors led by former deputy María Corina Machado have said they are attentive to “signals.” «They already talked openly to sabotage to the elections. While they speak, we act ».
Explosive attacks
The head of Interior Relations said that for some days an information on “attacks with explosives aimed at embassies accredited to Venezuela” came to them, so, as he said, “the world finds out about government’s weakness, to have international resonance.”

This Sunday the elections of governors and deputies of the National Assembly are held in Venezuela. Therefore, as traditionally occurs, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), through the Republic Plan, will occupy the voting centers to protect its facilities and the electoral material.
Captures
Cabello reported that Venezuelans have been captured “that arrived in the country with explosive artifacts, with electrical detonants that are activated at a distance” and held the fugitive of the Venezuelan justice Iván Simonovis to be of the “conspiracy actions.”
