The main foreign star of the 29th edition of Venatská! with Impuls, the owner of the legendary raffle will be Chris Norman, former singer of the band Smokie. He will perform the biggest hits of his rich career on Friday, July 28, on the main stage in the sports complex in Vesc u Liberec.
“I heard about Venice that it always has a wonderful atmosphere. I’m looking forward to seeing it for myself and I believe we’ll all enjoy it together,” says Chris Norman.
His voice is known to fans from hits such as Midnight Lady, Oh Carol, Daydreamin”, Living Next Door To Alice, the Czech version of which was sung by Karel Zich, or a duet with Suzi Quattro Stumblin’ In, in the Czech version of Zkomolina. Another successful Czech remake of Norman’s songs is The Soap Prince by Václav Neckár, originally Needles and Pins.
“We are glad that Chris and I managed to come to an agreement, because Venatská! with Impulse is the largest Czech festival of mainstream music. And who wouldn’t know his hits here,” says Pavel Mikez, co-owner and director of the festival. The legendary singer will return to the Czech Republic after a break of several years.
Thursday evening will be dedicated to Slovak bands, which used to be the rule in Venatská, but has not been the case in recent years. The ČEZ Energy Stage will feature: Vašo Patejdl & Band, Peter Nagy & Indigo, Richard Müller, No Name and Brutus. Pleja, Kohout plaší smrt, Ovčia Kiana, SPS, Lety mimo will be performed in the Radio Impuls Tent, and the program will close with a Czech party with Impuls with DJ Jirka Pošík.
On Friday, the audience will enjoy the program on three stages, with the addition of the Adefex Stage, where Alchymie, Loretta, Portless, Trautenberk, Krucipüsk, Doga, De Bill Heads and Skardé holka will perform.
Turbo, Mňága and Žďorp, Harles, Mirai, Chris Norman & Band, Rybičky 48 and Metalinda will play on the main ČEZ Energy Stage.
Rozálie Havelková, Cold LIcks, Doctor PP, Sebastian, Katarina Knechtová will perform in the Radio Impuls Tent, and once again visitors can look forward to a party with Czech hits.
The final day will also take place on three stages.
Big’O’Band, Poletíme?, Horkýže Slíže, Kamil Střihavka, Lenka Filipová, Jaromír Nohavica, David Koller and Děda Mládek Ilegal Band will play on the ČEZ Energy Stage.
Adefex Stage will offer Alocation, Robin Hood, Eliška Rusková, Šimon Mikez, Charlotte, Paulie Garand, Viktor Sheen, Yzomandias and Marpo & TroubleGang.
The Radio Impuls tent hosts Zpívánky pro děti, AZ-Kvíz, Téla, Michal Penek, Ivan Hlas, České Srdce, Votchi, and the Czech party with Impuls will end everything again.
