Many streets in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City will be closed to traffic tonight (September 2) to ensure safety and serve people having fun and watching fireworks to celebrate National Day, September 2.
Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays from 9pm to 9:15pm at two locations: the beginning of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11). In addition, on Nguyen Hue walking street, there will be art programs to celebrate the holiday.
To ensure traffic safety and security in the central area, from 7pm to 10pm, vehicles are prohibited from entering 20 city streets, including: Nguyen Hue, Le Loi (from Dong Khoi to Pasteur), Dong Khoi (Nguyen Du to Ton Duc Thang), Ton Duc Thang (Nguyen Sieu to Vo Van Kiet), Nguyen Tat Thanh (Khanh Hoi bridge to Hoang Dieu), Ham Nghi (Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang).
Other routes are also banned from traffic during the above time, including: Hai Trieu, Ton That Thiep, Huynh Thuc Khang (from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ly Tu Trong (from Pasteur to Hai Ba Trung); Le Thanh Ton (from Hai Ba Trung to Pasteur); Lam Son Square, Dong Du (from Hai Ba Trung to Dong Khoi), Nguyen Thiep (from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue), Mac Thi Buoi (from Hai Ba Trung to Nguyen Hue).

In addition, the routes around Me Linh Square are prohibited from vehicles, including: Hai Ba Trung, Phan Van Dat (to Mac Thi Buoi Street), Ngo Duc Ke (to Ho Tung Mau Street); Ho Huan Nghiep (to Dong Khoi Street); Thi Sach (to Dong Du Street) and the two bridges Ba Son and Khanh Hoi.
People from Binh Thanh to District 4 can choose an alternative route: Nguyen Huu Canh – Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Du – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Ong Lanh bridge – Hoang Dieu – Nguyen Tat Thanh. In the opposite direction, follow the route: Nguyen Tat Thanh – Hoang Dieu – Ong Lanh bridge – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Xo Viet Nghe Tinh.
For the direction from Thu Duc City to District 5, people can choose the route: Vo Nguyen Giap – Dien Bien Phu – Dinh Tien Hoang – Vo Thi Sau – Ba Thang Hai – Le Hong Phong. The opposite direction: Le Hong Phong – Dien Bien Phu – Vo Nguyen Giap.
