Vaccines against Covid-19, the most requested medicine in the world, are now available throughout the territory, after doses were distributed in the remaining 13 provinces that were on the waiting list.
The vaccines arrived in the provinces of Bengo, Bié, Cuanza-Norte, Cuanza-Sul, Cuando Cubango, Cunene, Malanje, Moxico, Namibe, Lunda-Norte, Lunda-Sul, Uíje and Zaire, after having already been applied in the provinces most affected by the pandemic, these being Luanda, Cabinda, Benguela, Huambo and Huíla.
At this point, provinces such as Malanje, Bengo, Cunene, Lunda-Sul and Moxico have already started the vaccination campaign, with the first people in the priority groups being vaccinated.
In the rest of the provinces, vaccines should begin to be administered from this Tuesday (13th), which should give a major advance to the population’s collective immunization campaign.
To date, more than 200,000 people across the country have been vaccinated with the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
